Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced that he hopes to build a museum dedicated to Euromaidan and the Heavenly Hundred, speaking on the third anniversary of the pro-EU revolt in Kiev on Monday.

Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine (Ukrainian): "The complex (Memorial to Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred) must remind about the high price paid by the Ukrainian people for its independence, freedom and democracy not only by the very fact of its existence, but also by its location and look.I share and welcome the position of civil organizations, particularly of the Family of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred organization, that this museum must be modern and look into the future. It must be formed by the best global and Ukrainian artists and must be located on the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred."

Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine (Ukrainian):"I would be the first sponsor of the creation of charitable foundation to raise funds for the construction of the museum and memorial, as well as holding the international contest for its best project. I hope that the construction of that extremely important complex for the Ukrainian history would become a truly nation-wide matter just as our European Maidan was."

Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine (Ukrainian): "The Revolution of Dignity drew the line under the Russia-Soviet past and the post-Soviet period (of development of the Ukrainian state). It set a clear demarcation line in space and time. It marked a distinct border, which separates and alienates our European Ukrainian world from their "Russian world." Today Ukraine and Europe are of course much closer to one another than three years ago. This means that plans and requirements of the Euromaidan are being implemented."
