National Olympic Committee Second Vice Chairman and Team Kenya Deputy Head of Mission Ben Ekumbo is at the Milimani Law Courts to face charges over Theft of Nike Kits meant for Athletes. Ekumbo was arrested by DCI officers yesterday at his Apartment in Westlands. Detectives found Cartons and several pieces of kits stacked inside the house, among them were team uniforms, track suits, Shoes and bags meant for track and field athletes and the swimming team, for the Rio Olympics. The development comes just a few days before President Uhuru Kenyatta releases a Probe report into the mess that was Kenya's participation in the August Games. The probe committee found that over 88 million shillings was lost in bloated ticket purchases for the traveling party, and that Nock officials misappropriated 126 million shillings.
